Distinguished British tenor Philip Langridge makes his first recording for children!

Songs and Rhymes for Children

Philip Langridge, one of the world’s most distinguished singers, is the grandfather of six young children. This CD, which is the brainchild of his cellist daughter Jennifer, aims to introduce the sound of real musical instruments played by professional musicians to children of all ages through specially arranged traditional songs and rhymes.

The disc features arrangements of 21 popular children’s songs specially arranged by the composer Simon Parkin and performed by Philip Langridge with four musicians who regularly perform together in the new-music ensemble, Psappha. Suitable for children aged 0 - 100 Songs and Rhymes for Children makes an excellent stocking-filler, is an easy present to post, shortens any journey, and is ideal for giving grandparents and children something to sing along to together!
